A men's shawl-collar cardigan with a broad band of tonal Fair Isle, a traditional pattern of small repeating motifs, across the chest and body. The yoke above and the hem below are plain, which keeps the pattern contained. The ribbed shawl collar lies flat into the buttoned front.

Knitted in New Zealand from 55% merino wool, 35% possum fur and 10% mulberry silk, it gives real warmth without weighing on the shoulders. The Fair Isle is worked in two close tones, so it reads as texture from a distance and as pattern up close.

Wear it buttoned over a plain black crew with dark jeans. It also takes the place of a jacket on a cool day, or sits open over a collared shirt.

Hand wash in cold water. Never rub, twist, or wring — gentle squeezing only. Lay flat to dry in shade, away from direct heat. Store folded in a cool, dry place.

New possum merino may shed lightly during the first few wears. This is completely normal and stops quickly. A gentle hand wash helps release any loose surface fibres.
