Children's mittens with a sheep's face on the back of each hand and three-dimensional ears standing out at the sides. Knitted in New Zealand from 55% merino wool, 35% possum fur and 10% mulberry silk, they keep small hands warm through winter.

One size, for ages 5 to 10 approximately, measuring 16.5cm long and 7.5cm wide (6.5" x 3"). A ribbed cuff holds them at the wrist and tucks under a coat sleeve.

For a native bird, see the Kākāpō Possum Merino Childrens Mittens. Pair either with the Fair Isle Possum Merino Childrens Sweater.

Exact measurements of this garment, laid flat. Allow ±2cm as each piece is knitted.

Hand wash in cold water. Never rub, twist, or wring — gentle squeezing only. Lay flat to dry in shade, away from direct heat. Store folded in a cool, dry place.

New possum merino may shed lightly during the first few wears. This is completely normal and stops quickly. A gentle hand wash helps release any loose surface fibres.
