The Layering Edit

A honeycomb poncho that slips on over the head, a rib cape that falls open at the front, and a boxy honeycomb vest to wear over a shirt or fine knit. Warmth through the shoulders and core without the weight of a coat, knitted in Ōtautahi Christchurch.

The Accessories Edit

A wave-knit loop scarf, a two-colour check scarf, long cable glovelets and short rib hand warmers. The wave scarf, glovelets and hand warmers come in the same colours as the layering pieces, so they can be worn as a set.

Common questions

What is Woolline?

Woolline is a New Zealand possum merino knitwear brand from a small, family-owned maker in Ōtautahi Christchurch. It is a young brand, backed by more than 30 years of experience in knitwear design, programming and manufacturing. Every piece is designed and made in New Zealand.

What is Woolline knitwear made from?

Every Woolline piece is knitted from 65% New Zealand fine merino wool, 25% New Zealand possum fur and 10% mulberry silk. The same blend runs across the whole range, from the poncho, cape and vest to the scarves, glovelets and hand warmers. Woolline has a noticeably softer handfeel than the other possum merino brands we stock.

What is in the Woolline range?

The Woolline range currently has three layering pieces and four accessories. The layering pieces are a honeycomb poncho, a rib cape and a honeycomb vest. The accessories are a wave-knit loop scarf, a two-colour check scarf, long cable glovelets and short rib hand warmers.

What is the difference between the Woolline poncho, cape and vest?

The poncho slips on over the head, and the cape falls open at the front. The vest is boxy, made to wear over a shirt or a fine knit. All three add warmth through the shoulders and core without the weight of a coat.

Can Woolline accessories be worn as a set?

Yes. The wave scarf, long cable glovelets and rib hand warmers come in the same colours as the poncho, cape and vest, so they can be matched as a set. The two-colour scarf comes in its own two-tone colourways.
