Fair Isle Possum Merino Blanket

£168
... ›

A blanket in Fair Isle, a traditional technique where small repeating patterns are knitted in two colours across each row. Bands of pattern run across the top and bottom, with a plain panel between them. It is knitted in New Zealand from 55% merino wool, 35% possum fur and 10% mulberry silk.

At 150cm x 100cm (59" x 39"), it lies across the back of a sofa or the foot of a bed. Fold it in thirds so a patterned band sits on top, or hang it over the arm of a chair with the pattern showing.

The Fair Isle Possum Merino Pullover comes in the same colourways, and there is a Fair Isle Possum Merino Childrens Sweater too.

Exact measurements of this piece, laid flat. Allow ±2cm as each piece is knitted.

Hand wash in cold water. Never rub, twist, or wring — gentle squeezing only. Lay flat to dry in shade, away from direct heat. Store folded in a cool, dry place.

New possum merino may shed lightly during the first few wears. This is completely normal and stops quickly. A gentle hand wash helps release any loose surface fibres.
