McDonald New Zealand
McDonald New Zealand is owned by a fourth-generation farming family with 150 years of wool-growing behind them. Merino from their South Island property goes into possum merino knitwear made in their Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland workroom.
The blend is 55% merino wool, 35% possum fur and 10% mulberry silk, across pullovers and zip jackets through to throws, scarves and caps. Alongside the possum merino, they knit a small range of pure merino newborn pieces.
