Herringbone Lace Possum Merino Vest

£102
... ›

A round-neck pullover vest with bands of herringbone lace across the yoke and again just above the ribbed hem. Between the two bands the body is plain, so the lace frames the shape rather than covering it. Rib finishes the neckline and armholes.

Lightweight and knitted in New Zealand from 55% merino wool, 35% possum fur and 10% mulberry silk. Without sleeves, the vest adds warmth through the body with no bulk at the arms, so it layers easily over long sleeves.

Wear it over a fitted long-sleeve top with jeans at the weekend, or over a white shirt with tailored trousers for the office. A plain top underneath lets the lace show.

The same herringbone lace is on the Herringbone Lace Possum Merino Shawl. For a zip front, see the Corrugated Cable Possum Merino Vest.

Exact measurements of this garment, laid flat. Chest width is across the front, underarm to underarm. Allow ±2cm as each piece is knitted.

Hand wash in cold water. Never rub, twist, or wring — gentle squeezing only. Lay flat to dry in shade, away from direct heat. Store folded in a cool, dry place.

New possum merino may shed lightly during the first few wears. This is completely normal and stops quickly. A gentle hand wash helps release any loose surface fibres.
