Possum Fur Collection
Every possum merino piece already contains genuine New Zealand possum fur spun into the yarn. What makes this collection different is the addition of natural possum fur used as a trim around necklines, beanie brims and glove cuffs, or as a soft pom pom. Each piece is proudly knitted in New Zealand from a blend of 50% merino lambswool, 40% possum fur and 10% mulberry silk, with the fur trim adding warmth, texture and a refined finish.
The poncho, fur trim beanie and fur trim gloves are designed to coordinate and can be worn together as a matching set. The possum fur pom pom beanie is a standalone style, available separately in its own range of colourways.

Do these products contain real possum fur?
Yes. Every product in this collection has genuine New Zealand possum fur as a trim or pom pom. That is on top of the possum fur already blended into the possum merino knit.
What makes the fur trim collection different from other possum merino?
These pieces add a natural possum fur trim or pom pom to Koru's possum merino knit, which gives a soft, textured finish at the cuffs, hem or crown. Koru is the only brand we stock that uses genuine possum fur trims.

Are these products made in New Zealand?
Yes. Koru knits every piece in its family-owned workroom in Warkworth, north of Auckland. The possum fur and merino wool are from New Zealand, while the mulberry silk is imported.
