A plain beanie in tubular knit, worked as one continuous tube to give a double thickness of fabric. Knitted in New Zealand from 55% merino wool, 35% possum fur and 10% mulberry silk, it is smooth inside and out, with a deep cuff that turns up over the ears.

One size. Fold the cuff once for a neat line across the forehead, or push it back and let the crown slouch a little. The plain knit sits easily alongside a patterned scarf or a textured coat.

Hand wash in cold water. Never rub, twist, or wring — gentle squeezing only. Lay flat to dry in shade, away from direct heat. Store folded in a cool, dry place.

New possum merino may shed lightly during the first few wears. This is completely normal and stops quickly. A gentle hand wash helps release any loose surface fibres.
