Alpaca Lace Wrap
So fine it's almost cobweb-like — this lace wrap is knitted in New Zealand from 100% baby alpaca into an intricate openwork pattern that feels barely there but genuinely keeps the chill off. The kind of piece that dresses up everything it touches.
At 22.5 micron, baby alpaca is silky and light with a drape that wool can't quite match. The semi-hollow fibres provide surprising warmth for something this delicate, and because alpaca is naturally free of lanolin, it sits comfortably against bare skin — even for those who find wool irritating. The yarn is grown and spun in Peru, then crafted here in New Zealand.
Measuring 176cm x 92cm (69" x 36"), the generous size gives you plenty of styling options — drape it over a summer dress on cool evenings, wrap it snugly for theatre nights, or fold it to highlight the lace pattern at gallery openings. It packs down to almost nothing for travel.
